Lee E. Herman

Lee E. Herman graduated cum laude from the University of Houston Law Center in 1985, where he was admitted as a member of the Order of the Coif. Lee joined Hirsch & Westheimer in August of 1985, and has worked on a variety of real estate and corporate matters since that time. His practice has evolved to include regular representation of clients in environmental matters. He has specifically been involved in negotiating agreements protecting sellers and buyers from environmental liability; facilitating the sale and purchase of contaminated properties; complying with underground storage tank, voluntary cleanup, and wetland regulations; and representing environmental consulting firms.

He has handled or assisted in negotiating the purchase and sale of many small and medium-sized businesses; the structuring and documenting of corporations, general partnerships and limited partnerships; and work-outs of delinquent loans. He has also advised privately held companies on day-to-day legal issues and negotiated leases. After graduating from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in 1979, Lee was on the editorial staff of The Galveston Daily News until entering law school in 1982.
